The final right enumerated in the First Amendment, the opening act of the Bill of Rights, is the Right to Petition the government for a Redress of Grievances. Mr. Constitution explains what petitions are, and how they may be wielded.  In this episode Douglas V. Gibbs also discusses the impact of Thomas Jefferson on the formation of the young country, including the crafting of the U.S. Constitution.
